Wouldn't you love to get a massage in a lovely room such as that? I thought the little art quilt on the wall would add even a bit more elegance.

Apsara in the Bathroom...
A bathroom such as this talks of elegance and certain expectations. So why not placing art into such a beautiful environment while taking a cleopatra's bath?
The silk carving on the wall is part of the Angkor's Faces and Figures series and belongs to a diptych called Fragments of Angkor.
Details about this silk carving - it is really made from silk - you can see here

An Angel's Face on the Wall...
A bedroom that emanates innocence, a long gone era, simplicity and a time full of tenderness.
The silk carving on the wall is an Apsara, one of those heavenly statues and sculptures carved into the walls of Angkor Wat's temples.
If you would like to know more details about Apsara from the series of the Angkor's Faces and Figures please check this link.

In the Library with a Dragon on the Wall...
I know this is the time to go outdoors and enjoy spring, colours and scents. But there is also a time for relaxing, reading a book or two, taking a break or listen to some music.
The Dragon on the wall is a handquilted silk art quilt - one of those which do not belong on a bed. (Click on the link and you'll find more details about this wall hanging)

The Red Door into Dreams...
I found the original painting that the interior designers placed on the wall a bit too prominent and bone-crushing although the addition of red was the right supplement in my opinion for this room. The red brings a bit more warmth into the bedroom which otherwise would have been a bit too bland.
I think a smaller painting such as this acrylic painting Red Door from the Reminiscences series would be the better choice - or what do you think about this? Another example that it is not easy to find the right art and perfect choice for a room. Check out this link if you want to see more details...

Bedroom in an old Farmhouse....
A charming little bedroom that is probably found in a remote area in Southern Spain, in the highlands of La Mancha or in a farmhouse in Southern California or New Mexico. I could imagine sitting in that lovely chair, writing little short stories, enjoying the horses running out at feed.
This place could be a treasure of inspiration, a place for relaxing and dreaming...
The acrylic painting on the wall is called The Facade and tells another story, a story of another life long gone...
If you would like to see more of this please check this link

No Entrecard Widget!
Dear Readers,
please be aware that I deleted my Entrecard accounts because I have no time any more to follow the ads and react appropriately.
I also decided to keep my blogs ad free. I am happy to use the old fashioned link exchange though for those blogs which are strictly theme related. In my opinion advertising has taken over on so many blogs that you sometimes do not recognize content any more. This is not what I want to do with my blogs.
The only widget that I am glad to continue to use is the one with followers because this one helps me to find new interesting blogs and I am happy to "pay back" with an entry myself.

The House by the Sea and a little white Bedroom...
Looks like a painter's bedroom - doesn't it? So I thought this fits very well into my dreams of having a small old house by the sea, 2 or 3 very simple rooms to work in, sleep and have a guest or so. Silence besides the sounds of the ocean and the cries of the seagulls. A view out of the window, seemingly endless, where you hardly can realize where the sky meets the horizon. A place to dream...
